What We Do

  At First Step Recovery, we provide a safe comfortable environment for people who suffer from the effects of substance abuse and addiction.

  Our residential programs are located in a quiet peaceful neighborhood just at the edge the foothills in Ione, Amador County, California. 

  We believe in a holistic approach. Working with the Mind, Body, and Spirit we help you learn how to live life again as a whole person, and face real world challenges that won't stop just because you want to.

  For those entering our Detox Program, we begin with a Screening and Medical   evaluation by our doctor. We help you all the way through the detox process with support, counseling, nutrition and spirtual guidence.

  Our Residential 28 day Treatment Program gives you the opportunity to heal and learn a new way of living. 

  Both our Program use extensive assessment tools, individual counseling, balanced nutritional diets, and a tailored referral system to meet your individual needs, we help address the emotional, physical, social, and spiritual damage that abuse and addiction causes.

  We help you, or the person you love start to develop a fulfilling clean and sober lifestyle.

Our Facility

Our facility is a residential home and we accomodate up to six clients at any one time. Within the homelike setting we offer home cooked nutritional meals, semi-private rooms, 24 hour staff, and a variety of activities.

We are privately owned and not part of a large corporation. This allows our Staff and Counselors to manage your needs on an individual and personal basis without interference.
