Prior to admission we start with a phone screening to determine if our program is right for you and answer any questions you may have. After admission to the program, we include a medical evaluation from our physician for those who need medication assistance during the detox process. We use a variety of assessment tools to help you design a personal recovery plan for the appropriate continuum of care once you complete the detox process.

Detoxification. . .
The detox process can be difficult and uncomfortable depending on the alcohol/drug of choice and use history. The length of a detox usually ranges from 5 to 10 days, or longer. When someone tries to stop abruptly they may experience uncomfortable symptoms that may include sweating, nausea, shakiness, muscles aches and pains, extreme anxiety, high blood pressure, or seizures and sometimes death. Someone experiencing withdrawal, without help, usually attempts to avoid these symptoms by returning to the substance of abuse or a similar substance. Our detoxification plan, which includes a medical exam by our doctor and usually includes medications, help to relieve the uncomfortable symptoms while providing the much needed support throughout the detoxification process. We have twenty-four hour, trained, knowledgeable, and caring staff to help you through the entire detoxification process in a safe, comfortable and dignified manner.

Our Counselors are certified by the State of California in addictive disorders and nationally recognized by the National Commission of Certifying Agencies (NCCA), and are available twenty-four hours a day to help you through the Detox process.
