Culturally Speaking. . .
We are culturally oriented and offer a variety of outside meetings, educational materials, cultural support and practices. Local field trips include the natural sites around Amador County, nearby Sacramento, and social functions. These trips promote and develop spirituality, and help to reintegrate each individual back into society. Our program also includes full participation with materials for individuals that are hearing, sight, mobility, or cognitive impaired. Our residence is completely set up for and meets all ADA standards.
We support those with faith based practices or beliefs by making available transportation to "Celebrate Recovery" meetings, and Church. We allow and encourage outside visits from spiritual or religious advisors.
It is a Family Affair. . .
Substance abuse and addiction affects the whole family and other personal relationships. We offer those family members and significant others, who desire to be a part of the process, participation in our program as well. We help families and significant others discover their need for treatment in a supportive and caring way. We help them develop a support system, discover their own contributions, both positive and negative, developing their knowledge, and understanding of the disease of addiction. We have additional resources to help support family and friends in understanding more about substance abuse and addiction.
